IDEATION project: final partner meeting and future directions

On 20th of January, the final virtual meeting of the IDEATION Project partners took place, marking a significant milestone in the project’s journey. This online gathering brought together all partners to reflect on the progress made, finalize key deliverables, and chart the path forward beyond the project’s official conclusion.

The meeting began with discussions on the final adjustments to the IDEATION Practical “Hands-On” Circular Design Strategy Implementation Toolkit. During this session, partners collaborated to ensure the toolkit is practical, easy to implement, and adaptable for organizations of various sizes and capacities. These final adjustments solidify the toolkit’s ability to address key areas such as waste management, energy efficiency, and stakeholder engagement, making it an essential resource for local and regional sports organizations.

Partners also reviewed the successful implementation of the IDEATION project’s objectives. Emphasis was placed on the positive outcomes achieved during its lifecycle, particularly the development of the toolkit, theoretical framework, and practical applications that provide a strong foundation for promoting Circular Economy (CE) principles in the sports sector.

Another significant focus of the meeting was planning for post-project activities. Partners dedicated a portion of the discussion to ensuring the sustainability of IDEATION’s impact after the project officially ends. Strategies were outlined to share the toolkit with a broader audience through workshops, conferences, and online platforms. The discussion also highlighted the importance of continuing collaborations among partners to support the adoption of Circular Design (CD) strategies in sports and exploring new opportunities for follow-up projects and initiatives that build on the IDEATION framework.

Looking ahead – Sustaining the Momentum
While the IDEATION project’s official funding period may be coming to a close, the work is far from over. Partners are committed to maintaining the project’s momentum by expanding outreach to introduce the toolkit to new organizations and regions. This ensures that its principles benefit a wider audience, encouraging collaboration between project partners and other stakeholders to foster knowledge exchange and innovation.

Additionally, the project will serve as a springboard for future initiatives aimed at sustainability, innovation, and community development in sports. By leveraging the success and lessons learned from IDEATION, new projects can continue to drive positive change in the sector.

Thank You to Our Partners and Supporters!

The IDEATION project has been a testament to the power of collaboration. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the project successfully created tools and strategies that can transform the sports sector. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all partners and stakeholders for their dedication and contributions to the project’s success.

Stay tuned for updates as we continue our mission to promote sustainability and innovation in sports!
